a-ok is a classic wooden chair with modern details that is informed by an archetypical kitchen chair. Four straight-line legs hold the smoothly shaped seat and the oval backrest. These two moulded wood parts that are visually and tactually soft and pleasing create the chairs friendly appeal. Thanks to the elongated rear legs that continue over the back, a-ok has an additive character and graphic quality. Likewise, the open end-grain at the strut’s top section adds a subtle material contrast and formal interest. Cutouts from the seat further emphasise the minimalist design approach and give room for the legs.
